I'm Back In Action

Hello!

So I started this blog towards the end of 2008 in hopes of capturing some of the fun things I did around the city after graduating from Syracuse University, and then, the real world hit. I missed Boston so much when I was gone, that I thought all of this would be easy - I was wrong. Who knew graduating from college in December and interning full time while job searching would take up so much time/energy?

I am happy to announce that I am back - over the last few months I have gone on some wonderful adventures within this beautiful city and I hope to write about them now. I'll be sure to let you know in my posts whether I myself have checked something out personally or if I just read about the event/area/ subject of interest.

Also, if you'd like to know more about a particular event/area/subject of adventure in the Greater Boston area, do let me know! I'm always happy to look into fun new things.

Best,
Kiley

Boston Lighthouse Tours

Hi all,
I found this interesting event on the Things To Do section of Boston.com.

Boston Light Tours

Boston Light Tour is a three hour boat cruise around Boston Harbor Islands, ending at Boston Light, the oldest and last-staffed lighthouse in the United States. Tour members can then climb to the top of the tower to see an incredible view of Boston.

Schedule:

Thursdays - 10:00 AM & 1:30 PM from Fan Pier
Fridays - 10:00 AM from Fan Pier
Saturdays - 10:00 AM & 1:30 PM from Fan Pier
Sundays - 10:00 AM from Fan Pier
Cost:

$38 Adults
$35 Seniors (65+ yrs.) & Active Military
$29 Youth (3-11 yrs.)
$0 Children (Under 3)

While I can't personally recommend this trip, it sounds like a fun (and educational) thing to do on a nice day. It is a little pricey, but you could easily spend the rest of the day on one of the islands to make it worth your money!

If you give the tour a try, make sure to send your feedback to AllThingsBoston!

Free Boston Family Activities Newsletter

Hi all,

I'm excited to have this blog up and running!

This first item I'm sharing is actually what got me thinking about starting this blog. I signed up for "Family Fun in Greater Boston" sometime last year on the Boston Central Web site, thinking that while I don't have children of my own, the newsletter may give great ideas for fun and reasonably inexpensive things for me to do around the city.

I definitely recommend this newsletter as a great resource for Moms and Dads, babysitters and people like me, who are still sometimes a kid at heart. E-mailed right to you, it provides a wealth of information on fun activities and shows going on that week in the Greater Boston area. The events listed are during the day, for youngsters not in school and after school hours, plus weekends. Did I mention it's FREE?

To sign up, click here: http://www.bostoncentral.com/main/newsletter.php .
Don't be afraid to tell them All Things Boston sentcha!

Happy adventures,
Kiley

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my new blog! I will be using this site to share with you a whole gamut of info including important news from Beantown, random interesting facts and fun things to do around the Greater Boston area . This city has so much to offer, even for those short on a dollar and time, that I wanted to create a place where fun ideas can be shared and important news can be discussed.

There are adventures to be had, let this blog be your resource for All Things Boston.
